Adam Bozsvai is a native of the Northeast Ohio region. He grew up in Solon and spent his summers swimming and developing a passion for water through swimming and boating around the state of Ohio.
After college athletics ended, Adam was looking to fill the hole in his heart that swimming had previously taken up. He missed the comradery & the feeling of being a part of something bigger than himself. He discovered triathlon from a teammate who was a former competitive triathlete. Inspired by his teammate, Adam signed up for Tri CLE in 2022 and soon after a new passion was born.
In his free time, Adam serves as a junior board member for Youth Challenge - A local charity that focuses on providing children with physical disabilities with the opportunity to play sports via adaptive equipment.

After college, athletics took a backseat for many years. Completing a triathlon was on her “bucket-list”, but she was hesitant to sign up. Eventually, she did 1 triathlon in 2015, but then took a 7-year break. Inspired by a friend’s athletic endeavors, she decided to sign up for Tri CLE in 2022 and has been hooked since that time. Although relatively new to the tri world, Liz is eager to introduce people to the multisport community!

I grew up racing motocross and riding freestyle bmx at a young age, taking both sports to an elite level. My intro in endurance sports started while training for motocross. Realizing the cardio benefits, I picked up running and found much enjoyment in doing so.
In 2018, I ran my first 5k and was hooked. Working my way into marathons, I qualified for Boston in 2022.
Looking for more cross training, I got in a pool and learned I couldn’t swim but loved the challenge. A buddy mentioned Tri CLE and I knew I’d want to give it a shot.
From the Tri CLE super-sprint in 2022 to a 140.6 in Italy in 2023!
I’m all in!
I’ve found great camaraderie and competition in the triathlon world and am so grateful to have found a new chapter to write in my life. See you at the races!
I am a survivor of brain surgery which is how God became clear to me. Because of TBI I've never been a solid athlete, but I never quit. I'm a Social worker by day in Stark County and shoe salesman in the evenings at Vertical Runner.

I started running 10 years ago by signing up for a half then a full, then trail races, now I’m jumping in the water with triathlons. I hit the pool at the Cuyahoga Falls Nat and open water swim at Sandy Lake.
My wife and I have been together since 2008. A couple times a month we volunteer on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. We live in Summit County, worship at Redemption Chapel, and visit Kent State.
Hi, I’m Christina Gatsby! I’m a Northern California native who now lives in the D.C. area. I started swimming competitively when I was a kid and have returned to it on and off throughout my life. I fell in love with cycling about 10 years ago after a friend talked me into a charity century ride (then I did another just for good measure!

I fell in love with cycling about 10 years ago after a friend talked me into a charity century ride (then I did another just for good measure!) I recently lost a significant amount of weight and found myself amazed at what I was able to do without carrying so much excess weight. Enter triathlons. I have competed in 6 total, varying from super sprint to Olympic, both as an individual and part of a relay. I’m not a strong runner so I keep myself motivated to improve by always having a race on the calendar. I like being able to help motivate others and will happily join a relay if someone wants a way to get started in multi-sport racing.

Sam was a distance swimmer growing up and a division 3 college athlete. She has kept up with swimming over the years competing in pool and open water swims. Running has always been a part of her training and she loves competing in local Cleveland 5Ks. Cycling is something Sam has learned to love. Whether it's commuting around town or taking a spin class, she's always trying to get more time in the saddle.
Beyond the racecourse, Sam is committed to fostering a sense of community and encouraging others to embark on their fitness journey. She believes in the transformative power of working out, not just as a physical challenge but as a holistic experience that builds mental toughness, camaraderie, and a lifelong love for a healthy lifestyle.

My name is Kim Ruble and I live in NE Ohio with my husband, Dave and two cats, Kona and Zoey. I am employed as a Recovery Services Supervisor for Trumbull County Children Services. I supervise a unit that specializes in working with Parents with Substance Use Disorder. It is an honor to work with individuals with a lived experience in recovery and support them in helping others in their own recovery journey. Drugs and alcohol can cause so much damage to families, but it is inspiring to see families who break this cycle and embrace the miracle that Recovery can be. The job can be stressful and heartbreaking at times, and training for triathlons has become my self care routine.

Originally from NJ, my engineering career led me to Cleveland in 2018. In 2010, I embarked on my triathlon journey with a Sprint triathlon, sparking an annual tradition. My focus now predominantly centers on conquering the challenges of Olympic distance triathlons. I relish planning and executing training, witnessing its culmination on race day. Each event has taught me discipline, endurance, and lessons that translate outside of triathlon.
Looking forward, athletics remains a cornerstone of my life. I'm committed to surpassing limits, embracing new challenges, and nurturing a lifestyle focused on health, fitness, and personal growth. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to serve as an ambassador and am eager to assist others in discovering the world of triathlon.
I started my swimming career as early as I can remember. I continued my endurance career, running my first marathon in high school and swimming through college. I started my swimming career as early as I can remember. I continued my endurance career, running my first marathon in high school and swimming through college. It wasn't until I started working at a bike shop that I discovered how much joy cycling gave me. Combining all three sports seemed to be the perfect trifect, so I decided to compete in my first Olympic triathlon in 2022 (Wilmington, NC) and subsequently in Cleveland.
I received a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, because endurance sports and metabolic conditioning are extremely important to me. Outside of triathlon, I am certified in CrossFit & NASM personal training. Fitness is a lifelong journey better done with friends, and I'm stoked to be a part of this community.
Put a hold on your calendar for Sunday, August 10, 2025, for Tri CLE Rock Roll Run! Which will also be the 5th year of this race.
