The Super Sprint & Sprint swim courses are within the protected North Coast Harbor. The Olympic swim course goes out of the North Coast Harbor and is still within the break wall. Swimmers will enjoy views of the Great Lakes Science Center and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The swim start is a 3-person time trial start by division from a boat dock behind the Great Lakes Science Center. The distances on the swim are 250 meters for the Super Sprint, 750 meters for the Sprint, and 1500 meters for the Olympic distance triathlon.
Each distance Duathlon participant will start with a 2-mile run that will start near the playground at the Great Lakes Science Center. Participants will run across the pedestrian bridge, around Voinovich Bicentennial Park, then head south on E.9th Street, make a left on North Marginal Road, turn around at 1 mile and head west on North Marginal Road, at E.9th Street make a right, then turn left on the North Coast Harbor Walkway and follow the path to the stairs before the Great Lakes Science Center, make a left at the stairs, then turn right on the grass and head to Transition 1.
All bike courses are on the closed-to-traffic Memorial Shoreway that highlights the Cleveland skyline and downtown neighborhoods. Participants will be provided with multiple lanes to race on the entire course to avoid drafting and allow for safe passing. The distances on the bike are 8k for the Super Sprint, 20k for the Sprint, and 40k for the Olympic distance triathlon. [No e-bikes are allowed for this race]
Transition 2 is located at the beautiful Edgewater Park where participants will enjoy a gorgeous run on the paved bike trail that is highlighted by a spectacular skyline of downtown Cleveland. (We are working on updating this map
The run courses will be capped off with a run through Cleveland's premier metro park, Edgewater Park. Providing participants with breathtaking views of downtown Cleveland and the lakefront. The distances on the run are 3k for the Super Sprint (1 loop) & 5k for the Sprint (2 loops) distance triathlon & duathlon.

If you are wearing cycling shoes for the bike, make sure to have TWO pairs of running shoes, one to be worn for the first run leg and one that will need to be staged at Transition 2.
Gear from Transition 1 WILL NOT be delivered in time to use the running shoes from the first run.
